The Senior Plumbing Engineer provides plumbing expertise and engineering services for all phases of the healthcare building design and construction process. This role contributes to the organization by leading the Plumbing Engineering Team, and is engaged in the Engineering Industry.
Plumbing Engineering Responsibilities Include: Sets design standards and implement means and methods; Designs, selects, schedules, sizes and specifies plumbing system components; Provides the highest quality of appropriately detailed and coordinated building and analytical modeling; Drives continuous design improvement efforts, including means, methods, products, systems, and technology;
Project Management Responsibilities include: Collaborates with project team members integrating plumbing elements with the architecture and other engineering systems; Meets design schedules and complete tasks on budget; Assists in developing plumbing project schedule and professional labor budget; Visits site as needed to assist construction
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, required
Registered Professional Engineer (PE), required
LEED & EDAC accreditation, preferred
7+ years of relevant healthcare mechanical or plumbing design experience, preferred
Ability to travel, including occasional visits to project sites
Demonstrated leadership in the design field through public speaking, publications, and event participation
Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies; experience with Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD
