Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenses and analyzing variances
Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses, identifying critical control points and preventive measures, establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures
Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to maintain best in class quality daily.
Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
Updates job knowledge by studying trends and developments in quality management, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
The Quality assurance manager will review statistical data from the production lines to identify quality problems and will analyze the data and recommend changes to production processes or quality controls to eliminate the problem. The manager will also analyze records of product returns to identify specific problems or trends over time.
The Quality assurance managers develops and monitors continuous improvement programs, aiming to reduce the number of defects and improve levels of quality.
Must be able to work across functional departments to successfully implement, maintain and review the quality systems company wide.
Act as the management representative for ISO9001, 14001 and AS9100 Standards.
Create and/or maintain existing necessary documents for ISO9001, 14001 and AS9100
Keep track of all ICARs and follow through with departments to assure corrective actions are still in place.
Document and capture all audits and other quality assurance activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience in Fiber Optics, Copper, RF assembly manufacturing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA or QC position
Preferred certified auditor: ISO9001, 14001 and AS9100
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook and power point.
Capacity to work independently as well as part of a team to meet common goals.
Ability to speak multiple languages and lead a multicultural team is a plus
Supervisory experience/training, necessary.
Working knowledge/experience in manufacturing processes, quality and lean manufacturing, is a bonus.
