MDX is an innovative transportation agency dedicated to the enhancement of mobility in Miami-Dade County. We are currently seeking a certified Professional Engineer (P.E.) with extensive Construction Management experience to serve as Assistant Director of Engineering for MDX.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
Construction Management - responsible for management, oversight and coordination of all construction contracts and professional service contracts related to construction. Oversee the MDX General Engineering consultants.
Project Management - direct complex and unconventional construction and design projects; to include heavy regulatory agency involvement and intricate technical requirements.
Contract Development & Management - Effectively and proactively manage contracts for construction projects and construction-related professional services. Assist in the preparation of contract documents, including Scopes of Services, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Invitations to Bid (ITB's).
Leadership & People Management - guide and inspire employees and consultants on assigned projects to perform at the highest level. Direct and manage staff and consultants in the execution of and compliance with contract terms; monitor consultants' progress, performance and compliance with contractual commitment
