The Central Contra Costa Sanitary District, a progressive public utility, is seeking an Instrument Shop Supervisor. This position will plan, organized, direct, and review the activities of the instrument shop including the repair, calibration, and installation of process instrumentation.
Special Physical Requirement: • Must be able to wear respiratory protection device for dust protection and while painting and using certain chemicals and solvents. May be required to enter confined space. Must be able to wear S.C.B.A. and perform job duties while wearing protective equipment and S.C.B.A. weighing 32 pounds.

Education and Experience: • Five years of progressively responsible journey-level experience in electro?mechanical repairs and electronic circuitry repair. At least four years of this time should have involved work on instrumentation repair work, preferably including at least one year of experience in a sewage treatment plant or other industrial installation using controlled process equipment with two years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity. • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by substantial training in instrument technician work.
Licenses: • Possession of a valid California Driver’s License. A valid out of state driver’s license will be accepted during the application process. Must possess a valid California Driver’s License within 90 days of appointment.
