Green Bay Packaging – Arkansas Kraft Division is seeking a hands-on leader with excellent communication skills to take charge of mill site environmental program management and associated operational excellence activities. This individual will possess strong leadership skills to achieve management objectives, solve issues effectively and timely, and build a sustainable culture of environmental stewardship. This key, staff level team member will develop a long-term strategy for environmental compliance and operational improvement. The ability to effectively lead both in-house teams and outside contract personnel to achieve divisional goals is fundamental to success. This position will also work closely with the entire Mill Group (Arkansas and Green Bay facilities) to build a world class environmental organization.
Provide strong leadership, vision and strategies to motivate, inspire and gain commitment for course of action that achieve results
Comprehensive environmental compliance with all environmental regulations (air, water and waste)
Obtaining, updating, and maintaining permits, plans, standard operating procedures and required legal forms
Project management with program accountability and understanding at every level
Implement a comprehensive and effective environmental management system
Incorporate continuous improvement processes and best practices throughout mill systems and processes
Conduct training and develop training materials, to comply with environmental regulations, sustainability requirements and all personnel’s environmental compliance.
Troubleshoot immediate and on-going tasks to achieve program consistency and structure
Establish benchmarks, goals and track continuous improvement objectives
Review short and long term capital plans in regard to environmental compliance
B.S. Environmental Science or related Science, Master’s Degree preferred. ?
Superior oral and written communication skills with the ability to efficiently deliver and reinforce consistent messages at all levels within and outside of the organization including federal, state and local agencies
Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines
Strong problem solving and active listening skills that allow for understanding perspectives and constituent needs; engaging others in collaborative problem solving and overall improvement
