The City of Topeka (KS) is seeking qualified candidates for a Pavement Improvement Manager / Pavement Engineer.
This position will supervise, coordinate and administer major public improvement projects and programs directly related to City’s half-cent sales tax from inception to conclusion. Supervises and participates in the design, planning and scheduling of engineering projects, including overseeing the work of consultants and contractors. Performs special studies, administers the road condition database and meets with individuals and groups to discuss public works projects.
Starting annual salary range: $62,620 to $78,270 DOQ
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with major course work in civil engineering or closely related field and registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Kansas (or reciprocal) with three (3) years of engineering experience after professional registration with at least two years project manager experience. Must have and maintain a valid class C Kansas driver’s license and city insurable driving record.
