Manager, Biomedical Engineering University of Maryland Medical Center – Baltimore, MD
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Under minimal supervision, direct and coordinate Biomedical Engineering Technicians assigned to the Clinical engineering department, who repair and maintain medical equipment and radiographic/ fluoroscopic equipment, including safety testing and routine maintenance and repair. Establish and implement departmental related policies and equipment testing procedures. Works in conjunction with superior to develop work standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology or a related discipline, or a commensurate combination of education and experience, is required.
Five years of technical experience, performing clinical or biomedical equipment installation, testing and repair on (all types of medical and related) instrumentation In addition, one year lead worker or supervisory experience, overseeing the work of lower level maintenance workers is desired.
