The City of Irvine seeks an accomplished Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Administrator to manage the construction of infrastructure, transportation, and new facilities for the City. This is an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. The CIP Administrator will supervise project management staff and oversee all aspects of the phasing, resources, inspection services and funding necessary to successfully complete construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess experience with roadway and facilities improvement projects. This individual must possess strong project management experience to oversee the scope, budget, and schedule of Capital Improvement Programs projects. This position requires strong communication both verbally and written to compose staff reports and present information to City Council, commissioners, or other department staff.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field with at least six (6) years of Public Works construction management and administration experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities. A valid California Driver's license is required. Desirable Qualifications: Registration as a California civil engineer and/or a certification in construction management is highly preferred.
