The City of Coquitlam is seeking an innovative, creative and driven E-Mobility Manager who will be responsible for advancing of the City’s transportation electrification, including all planning, policy and program efforts in the community. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing strong partnerships with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders, which would include community groups, other levels of government as well as utilities related partners. This position will be responsible for preparing budgets and business cases, fostering collaboration amongst various stakeholders, prioritizing policies related to the field of transportation electrification, and innovative strategic planning and program implementation of community electric transportation goals. The position requires excellent leadership and supervisory skills, strong written, verbal and presentation skills communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as strong business and political acumen. In addition to a Masters Degree in environment, transportation, engineering or related business field, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the energy, transportation, greenhouse gas management or sustainability fields, preferably within a municipal or regional government setting. In addition, preference will be given to candidates with a professional designation in engineering, environmental planning, project management or registered professional Planners.
