The Power Generation Instrument and Controls Engineer will perform advanced technical work and manage projects to maintain and improve instrumentation, control systems and some electrical equipment at power plants, follow change management and outage procedures, procurement policies and communicate, as required, with power plants. This role will work closely with Engineering on implementation of projects and/or may prepare detailed engineering calculations. In addition, provide input regarding maintenance and testing of plant apparatus and control systems, interpret control system designs and keep accurate records and drawings to ensure compliance, and related work as assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of FMPA Management.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Electric Power, and considerable experience in electric power utilities industry, particularly in support of or directly at power plants. Experience working with government regulatory agencies or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft office suite a must, Microsoft Project is preferred.
Experience using PLC configuration tools such as Proficy and FieldMonitor, and experience with GE Fanuc and Bentley Nevada PLCs are a plus.
