The Mouro Pinto Lab in the Center for Genomic Medicine, at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow candidate. We are interested in repeat expansion-associated neurodegenerative disorders, such as Huntington’s disease and Friedreich Ataxia, with a major focus on characterizing the mechanisms responsible for somatic repeat instability as potential therapeutic targets. We use both mouse and patient-derived cellular models, in combination with genome engineering tools, viral-based delivery techniques and next-generation sequencing, to develop methods for unbiased quantification of lon
