The Department of Information Science invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants will be considered for appointment at a rank commensurate with achievements and experience.
We encourage applicants with both technical and sociotechnical orientations with an emphasis on:
• human-centered AI/human-AI teaming • information integrity/misinformation • responsible/ethical AI • social/organizational aspects of applied AI
Applications are encouraged from candidates with interest in using their research to solve socially relevant problems that expand and leverage the strengths of our Department, College, University, and greater geographic region.
• Successful candidates will work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. • Applicants will be expected to establish a high-quality, high-impact sponsored research program, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels both on campus in Philadelphia and online, and advise and mentor Ph.D. students. • Tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level are expected to provide service to the department/college, university, and broader scholarly community commensurate with rank. • Other duties as assigned.
